  • Post social distancing markers using tape or signs that denote 6 ft. of spacing in commonly used and other applicable areas on the site. Yes

Describe how you will meet the criteria above

The office is large. Social distancing should not be difficult. All work stations are more than 6' apart. There will be times that employees will need to be closer than 6 feet, and all employees will have face masks and instructions to always wear them when closer than 6 feet from anyone. There already is a 6 foot wall separating the customers from the employees. The break room is large enough for 2 employees to take a break or eat at the same time and maintain distance.

Telework / Minimal Contact

Protect personnel at high risk for severe illness through telework, or minimizing contact with the public and other employees when able Yes

Limit In-Person Gatherings

Limit in-person gatherings (e.g. interviews) as much as possible and use tele- or video-conferencing whenever possible. Essential in-person gatherings (e.g. meetings) should be held in open, well-ventilated spaces with appropriate social distancing among participants Yes

Describe how you will meet the criteria above

We will be working with 3 cashiers. Most customers will be required to have an appointment. We will have 2 cashiers working on appointments and one for "walk ins." If someone does not have an appointment they will need to text their name to a DMV phone. They will get a message that says go back to your car and wait. We will call you when you may enter. We will only allow people to enter 5 minutes before an appointment, and only allow 1 walk in person at a time to wait. There is ample space to allow for distancing. There will be no more than a few people in the office waiting at one time. We will encourage the public to use mail or drop box for transactions that do not need to be done in person.

Remote Work

Identify those employees that can remote work-from-home Yes

What types of positions may do remote work-from-home?

There is no possibility of remote work of any kind for the DMV. We already use a 4 day work week.

Designated Areas

Establish designated areas for pick-ups, deliveries, and the public, limiting contact to the extent possible. Yes

Identify the designated areas within this location

There will be no pick up. Docs can be mailed in or dropped off. Customers can make an appointment. All mail will be returned by mail.

Additional Comments

We will use the drop box, mail, appointment system and text message for walk in procedures as described above.

Detailed Summary Options

We will provide the necessary face masks to all employees and encourage them to use the masks properly and to keep them clean. We have already purchased a large supply of pens that we plan to give away. If someone in the office uses the pen, they will get to keep it. We will have appropriate signage for this.

Hygiene and Cleaning

Adhere to hygiene and sanitation requirements from the CDC and NYS Dept. of Health. Yes

Provide and maintain hand hygiene stations for personnel, including handwashing with soap, water, and paper towels, or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing 60% or more alcohol for areas where handwashing is not feasible. Yes

Conduct regular cleaning and disinfection at least after every shift, daily, or more frequently as needed, and frequent cleaning and disinfection of shared objects (e.g. tools, machinery) and surfaces, as well as high transit areas, such as restrooms and common areas, must be completed. Yes

Detailed Summary Options

We will clean and sanitize the frequently touched areas often throughout each day. Each employee will have their own bottles of hand sanitizer, and we will have hand sanitizer available for the public to use. I hope to get a no touch unit for this. We have a bathroom that is stocked with soap and paper towels so hand washing will be very easy and encouraged to be done often. Customer facing devoces will need to be clean between customers.

The office has Customer Facing Devices (CFDs). Every customer must use one. We will clean these as needed between customers. We already have in place a procedure to contact and/or get messages to employees. We have e-mail, phone and/or text message information for everyone. We also have a break room where we post many messages.
